The platform stalls in chennai central station over charges passengers on packed food with MRP. In the name of cooling charges, they are charging Rs 2 additional for water bottle, even if it's not kept in cooler. They add Rs5 for cool drinks like Maza. I am travelling in brindavan express today, when I tried to question the same, I was abused. Request the authorities to conduct surprise check in these places to stop passenger harassment.

Also I would like to highlight that the vendors in the platform and shops in chennai central are unhygienic. It looks like their uniforms are not washed for months. They are stinking if you stand close to them. They might be transferring various diseases to passengers. It is shameful for Indian railways. Pls ensure the vendors follow basic personal hygiene.
