Yatra Online Pvt Ltd - Non refund of Air Ticket

My daughter Mrs. Aurelia Attaollahi had booked an e-Ticket from Mumbai to Bangalore departure 8th March,`09 at 6:15:00 AM. Status was confirmed and Ticket Number was 3531235671 for Airline IC-Indian Flight No. 105. Airline PNR RCJRUR.

On 7th March, `09, she got a call from the Airline stating that the flight on the 8th has been postponed to 9:30:00 AM. As she had to report for work on 8th at 9.30 AM she had no alternative but to cancel her ticket and book on another flight.

Since this ticket was booked online vide credit card, she was told that the money would be refunded and the same would appear in the subsequent credit card statement. She was given Toll free No. 18001801407 and told to contact them if the refund was not reflected in the statement. Since she was already in Bangalore I contacted them and was told that since the ticket was booked online through Yatra Reference No. OUGJQA she had to contact them regarding the refund.

When my daughter contacted Yatra, she was told that the e-Ticket had to be endorsed at the Air India office to get the full refund or else only half the amount will be refunded. As it was not possible to get the e-Ticket endorsed we agreed to getting half the refund. It is now 3 months and we have still not received the full refund nor have we received half the refund.

I hope Yatra and other Agents take heed to this, or else no one will want to book tickets through them if they are going to harassed in such a manner.
