Complaint by: KN Chandra on June 15, 2010, 5:54 pm in Indian Railways

Dear Sir
We had reserved 3 A/C class tickets Bangalore/Coimbatore return by Tirupur/
Bangalore on 13th & 14th June Respectively and tickets were wait listed. On 12th
tickets were sent for cancellation which got damaged due to rain, though all the information was visible the first 4 digits of PNR No. were washed out.

Due to the above reason none of the counter staff in Koramangala or City were
willing to accept the same for cancellation, we were made to go piller to post from
one counter to other, from one supervisor to a TC collectors office and than to
Dy.Chief Commercial Officer who was supposed to be the final authority however
since he was on leave his office did not accept our papers and the same was
sent by Reg Post ACK due to them.

Eventhough the railways rules has clearly states the mutilated tickets can be cancelled if the ownership is proved and none of the railway personnel were willing
to accept or give acknowledgement for leave along refund!

In view of the above, we have not only lost more than R.3500/- the value of the
unused tickets but also making several trips to cancell the tickets and spending
long time in the que in differant office / counters for this purpose.

Wish to reveive a honest response from the responsible personnel from Railways
and am willing to send them a scaned copy of the tickets that were sent to them
by REG post.

Awaiting positive response.

Regards
