Three days back I have been to Banglore railway staion. At around 10pm. I have approached the counter for platform ticket and it was closed. The employee (men) on duty informed that collect it from the STD booth, which is in front of the station. A board also was displayed over there saying that ''PLATFORM TICKETS AVAILABLE" .We asked for two and he given the printed ticket and he charged Rs. 6/- for each instead of 5 rupees face value. When we asked about it he said 1 rupee extra we need to pay.
Why do Bangalore Railway authority gave permission to telephone booth operator to sell platform ticket and entertain the corruption. Instead they should arrange the alternate so the passenger should buy form the authorized railway counter.
