Naaptol - Naaptol send me a defective product against telephone booking

I ordered (Order No-1539873) a portable-swing-machine after an Advt. by naaptol in a local Bengali daily Sambad Pratidin (on 25.03.11) and after receiving by VPP (on 31.03.11), I found that the machine is not working.
I show the machine to 3 experts and unfortunately, all of them declared that the machine was defective.
I immediately called naaptol customer care and lodged a complaint. Naaptol said that the machine can be replaced only by sending it to a Mumbai address by my own cost. They could not give me any address of any service centre in Kolkata.
In this context, I am confused so that, if I send it, is there any possibility to have a new one (against the old one)?
Some of the complaint against naaptol is distinctly showing that naaptol is running this type of business and they continuously cheating the customer.
Kindly do the needful against the said case and let me know the proper legal advices so that I can take a legal action against naaptol.
