IRCTC is cheating indian railway passengers by putting the site down at exact 8 am.

As every one knows that, so many indians travel by trains and book the tickets through the irctc site.

I have tried so many times(Count less) to book the tatkal tickets at 8 in the early morning.
It works properly till 7.59am and the moment it reached to 8.00 am, it shows you the server error.

Please don't try to bluff the passengers by saying bec, of heavy demand server is going down. I feel the site owners it self downing the site at that time to favor the agents or some mediators to get the tatkal tickets and in this they might getting the commission by selling those tatkal tickets in black market.

As I mentioned, as demand is heavy at that moment...If that is the case, what is the point in selling those tickets online. Bec, I have heard this from so many people. If every one is getting the same kind of server error, then who is doing the bookings really.

If its really a server problem, can not you solve the problem by upgrading the server, As every one knows that, tatkal tickets are on lot of demand and so much crowd can hit the server at that point, the how can these guys not taking care of that?

I have observed that, there are so many private sites like Yatra, makemytrip etc.. You guys are not allowing them to book the tatkal tickets before 9 am. How can one think the tatkal tickets can book after 9 am also? As every one knows, Tatkal tickets get booked with 15 -20 mins. Then how can one book after 9am. Why don't you guys allow them to book at the same time like irctc?

Are you not charging more for the tatkal tickets? are you not getting money through private advertisements? Are you not charging the online tickets charges(20 rupees extra)?

Please take care of this and stop cheating indian railway passengers.

I have also seen the same problem in the Q's also at the counters. There also, private agents people will stand at first and book the tickets and sell the in black market.

Please try to resolve the issue by following any of below suggestions(If you dont have any ideas)

1) Please make sure the server can handle max number of hits by upgrading it.
or
2) Give the access to private sites like Yatra,make my trip,etc.. sites at the same time which irctc is getting, so that, traffic can be divided and real passengers can book the tickets through any of the sites.
or
3)Stop selling tatkal tickets, so that at least few people can get the benefit rather simply benefiting the agents.
