Indian Railways - Inadequate railway system

My PNR Number is 2544317910 Train No. & Name: 12310/RJPB date of journey 9-Jan 2011. Train planned to be departed from new delhi 16:30 on 10th Jan 2011.

It is a delay of 1 day.

No body is informing passengers about status of train and it may get cancel as well.

It is a loss of whole 1 day of my life.

My passengers may have important and urgent plans for next days.

What are the compensation plans for it?

Why 4th largest railway network not taking responsibility for circumstances and covering remedy actions?
