my husband and i had confirmed 1st a/c tickets on train number 16107, mangalore express from chennai egmore to Karur junction. travel date- 6th October 2012. we had specifically booked 1st a/c as we had a large suitcase and we wanted the comfort. when we reached the station we got into the HA1 coach only to find that it was a 3rd a/c coach. the railways had removed the 1st class coach and replaced it with a 3rd a/c without any prior information to the passengers. our nightmare does not end there.
we waited for the TT who came and siad in a very disinterested voice (no apologies given) that for some technical reason the coach was unavailable. we asked about the fare refund to which he said vaguely' you can claim it". he did not give any slip or form. we all grumbled and went to sleep. late in the night (around 12 midnight) he comes back turns on the lights and gives us a reclaim slip. it was almost like he was doing us a favour and we were refugees who were travelling free.
we came back from karur three days back and when we went to the Rajaji Bhavan ticket counter to ask about the refun we were told very curtly "you have to claim it in two days or it is not valid" NOWHERE ON THE FORM DOES IT MENTION THE VALIDITY.. when we pointed this out to them, they said (quite rudely) 'we can't print everything on a slip". IF YOU ARE SO STRICT ABOUT THE VALIDITY SHOULD THAT NOT BE ON THE SLIP???
I NEED AN ANSWER IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE HAVE THE COURTESY TO REPLY.

respected sir,

First of all i want to introduce myself I am Renju from kollam and working at Trivandrum,This mail is to inform You a complaint on a railway gaurd,who has insulted my friends aunty Mrs,Vilasini who is seriously suffering through cancer and treatment going under trivandram RCC.The incident has happened on 20th of this month.The railway authorithy has issued her the free concision pass for travelling.but unfortunetly we are not able to get resevation ticket and due to that we are taken general ticket .but due to she was not able to travel in crowed we requested the train guard (name unknwn) he said that she can travel in the disabled compartment in which no one is occupied.we get in the train at 8.10pm and the departer time was 8.40pm.But all of sudden in the last moment the main guard Mr.KGK Nair came there a pushed her out of the compartment burtelly .Me and my friend begged him to allow her to get in because she is a cancer patient and she is very serious and was not able to travel in rush.we already shown him the temperory pass that railway has issued and the medical certificate that RCC itself has issued .eventhough he was not ready to enter her in the compartment.I have registered a complaint in the presence of station master.But I know that its of no use and nothing is going to happen,
so sir kindly do the needful definitly he has to suffer.because he had insulted an old lady who is suffering through cancer and also insulted me and my friend mr,Rineesh.
