To,

The Railway Minister,
Rail Bhawan, New Delhi

Subject: Complaint against problem faced during travel in Train No. & Name: 2423/DBRT RAJDHANIEX dated 4th November 2009 from New Coochbehar to New Delhi PNR No : ********94

Respected Mamata Ji,

I had booked my ticket from New Cooch Behar to New Delhi PNR No : ********94. Due to some unavoidable situation I could not board the train from New Cooch Behar and boarded the train from the very next station New Jalpaiguri.

Surprisingly after entering the train I found that my seat/berth was allotted to some other passenger and TS misbehaved with us and started arguing. He also threatened us stating that I have to adjust in one seat. Over and above that he was referring that according to Railway rules we can be penalised for travelling without ticket.

I’m disappointed with the attitude of the TS Mr. P Sangwan showed to us. In our country we believe “atithi devo bawah” and don’t practice it.

Kindly look into and ensure such behaviour is not repeated by railway staff with passengers.

Regards,

Suman Das
