I had purchased a brand new Nokia E6 which apart from being covered under 1 year guarantee is also covered under 1 year extended warrantee for which I had made the full payment and have it registered under Registration PIN 302********423 for my handset device serial no: 354********0094 with INFOTEL SERVICES, 1, EKDALIA ROAD, KOLKATA-700019. The handset's switch-on switch-off button had become non-functional for which I have handed the set to INFOTEL SERVICES who have advised me that this is NOT covered under the product guarantee and I will have to make the full payment for its replacement even though it is a manufacturing defect as few others have had the same defect. It is now a fortnight since I had deposited the handset for repairs but I do not know when I will get it back after repairs. And why should I pay for the repairs of a manufacturing defect?
