I had reserved a ticket in Shatabdi Express (Train No. 12034) from New Delhi to Kanpur for 27.12.2010 vide P.N.R. No. 241-5329500 and paid fare amounting to Rs.625/-. On the said day, the train has arrived late at New Delhi from Kanpur, resulting the train has departure from New Delhi at 19.20 Hrs. instead of schedule time i.e. 16.00 Hrs.
` Therefore, I have cancelled the said ticket and got Rs.310/- only i.e. 50% of the ticket amount whereas I was supposed to get whole fare because the train was late more than 3 hours and as per the railways refund rules, whole amount should be refunded.
It is therefore, requested to please refund the remaining amount i.e. Rs.315/- may be refunded to me at the earilest.
I made a complaint for getting less refund due to late departure of train more than 3 hours, on 28.12.2010 at 5.45 PM, the said compliant has been forwarded by yourself to Northern Railway.
More than 40 days have been lapsed but I have not received any response from N.Railway.
You are once again requested to please remind the N.Rly about my aforesaid complaint
