Purchased a sofa set(3+1+1) vide challen /order ref. no.T11/42590 dt 13.06.2009 @ Rs.19409/= from Big Bazzar ,Haldia.The details given by bullet points:
1.Supplied to me a repaired ,defective product as three sofa having three color,dimensions and different quality.(Booked date 13.06.09 & delivery date 29.09.09)
2.The next day after receiving my product ,I went Big bazzar outlet to lodge my complained and observed that two sofa set similar to me lying in the furniture section. the funny thing is that one set is having one three seated sofa in damaged condition and the other set is having two single seater in damaged condition.
All the sets are unique for that perticular set.It is also observed that both the sets are not good safe irrespective the quality and outlook.
3. What the big bazzar people did ,they took one three seater which was litte bit good from one set and other two single seater which were little good from the other set and make a set of different combinations and delivered to me.
4. See what extend they can go to cheat customers like me.
5. During delivery it was not noticed as the color for all are black and being a Gentleman at my end and a customer has to always believe the outlet people to give a good product in all respect.
6. They understood the problem as it was their pre planned thought and involved in this scam starting from the then SM, Mr. Alok and other peoples.
7.Now the delivery challan got signed by me and now what will happened to the customer every body knows.
8.Two shoes got completely damaged just to remined them to replace my product immediately.
9.Finally they agreed to replace my set with a repaired one set. Accordingly they delivered the repaired second one to my house.
10.But again after opening the set we found the sofa set is not atall good and completely different from the one I ordered.
11.I refused to take the same.
12. By this time my old supply one also got damaged to some extend as it was originally a repaired one.So what I did ,from the 2nd lot I picked up two single seater which were little good and replaced the previous damaged one under the conditions that all three will be either repaired or replaced in the future couse of action.
13.Last one month I am doing this extra work ie follow up with Big Bazzar officials and begging to help.
14. Finally I mate present Store Manager Mr. Chakraborty last week and asked to help. He had promised to see that my problem is solved.
15.On 19.12.10 I got a phone call from the outlet and told that their representative will come to take the sofa set for repairing.
16.When they came on 19,12.10 evening and told me that only three seater will be repaired free of cost and other two will be repaired on chargebla basis.
17. I told them that was not told by SM and I refused to hand over the product and asked them that after discussion with SM the same will be given.
18. Two day I tried to contact SM but could not mate him because of the reason not known.May be he is avoiding the situations.
19. Now tell me what action I should do now. Their attitute like Gundas and always trying to avoid the situations as no documents I presently have except the erased computer bill.
I support this complaint.proper justise to be given to the customer. Big bazzar people not only cheated but they indirectly snached the money.

I had purchased a bed from Big Bazaar, Highland park(FUTURE VALUE RETAIL LTD)P.S.Jadavpur,kolkata-75 on 15th Aug. 2011. It was delivered within 10 Days, but while assembling, it came to notice that the rot iron bed was defective. So the assembling could not be done properly, and it laid in the corner of the room(unusable).
Since that day, we had been trying to contact the couple of numbers, provided for any assistance needed. But we are yet to receive any remedy from their side. They have been providing false promises and dates, whenever we give them a call. Sometimes they don't even bother to pick up the call. And what's most disappointing is, one of the number belongs to the Furniture department. your departmental staff has been the biggest liar during all our communications, and has been providing false promises. And notably, also threatened saying that, we are trying our best, and nothing would happen even if we try to speed up the process from our side by escalating it to higher authorities, or even go to the Consumer Forum.
I have made the full payment for the furniture as I needed it badly, and yet suffering to the whims of one of the employees of the so-called-esteemed brand.
