Complaint by: Amit Jana on October 9, 2009, 6:07 pm in Indian Railways

I travelled with my family (6 persons including three aged and one child) by 3006 DN Amrirtsar-Howrah Mail on 02/10/2009 and my PNR no. 2********4. At the time of boarding at Amritsar our status was RAC-10 to RAC-15 and allotted only three berths against 6 persons at coach S-2 (berth no. 23,31,39). I met the TTE and requested to arrange at least two another berth in any coach. At that time he agreed to allot some berth at S-10 or S-11 and he asked me to wait for sometime. I follow the same and in between I recalled him three times and got same reply. In the mean time train reached at Ambala and that TTE asked some people (those who did not have any wait listed ticket) to go to S-10/11. After sometime I got surprised by came to know that the TTE allotted seats to those persons excluding me and I could not find out the TTE throughout the night. As per rules if there were any availability of berth I should get first preference but it did not happen in my case and we had to travel up to Howrah with those three berths only. I earnestly request to the railway authority to look into the matter and take action against the concerned TTE so that in future any other passenger should no experience the horrible system.
