I had scheduled my journey with family on 19/11/2010 from Magadh Express(Trainf No. 2401) from patna to new delhi. The train was expected to depart at 6:10 PM from Patna. When I reached station at 4.45PM, I was stunned to know that the train will depart at 1:30AM (20/11/2010).I went to check availability of retiring room at platform, but I was told there was no vacancy. I still had around 8 hours to wait with family & children and helplessly I booked a hotel near station. At 1 AM when I reached the station to know the current status, I was told that the train will depart at 3.30AM.Finally it departed at 4.30AM.The train which was schedule to reach Delhi at around 11.45 AM on 20/11/2010 reached at 2:45AM on 21/11/2010.
Is this the kind of service we get from the railway…Since the train was late..it was treated like an hell…at many places it was stopped for more than 1 hours…The reason…five train had to cross!!!!...The journey which should ideally take 17:35 hours took around 33 hours…
