Sir,
I have purchased a Videocon 14 inches color TV at Athithan furniture and Electronics @ Redhills on 26/04/2009. I am facing some problem with the TV like the picture is disappearing after frequest intervals (i.e. while watching the TV every half an hour the picture is disappearing and the power is going down) and the volume is dropping down from the actual volume kept, and once I switch on the TV after it happens as mentioned above, again the TV is running for minimum of 30 minutes and then again the same problem occurs.
For this thru the shop keeper (Athithan) I raised a complaint on 27/03/2010 at around 3:47 thru the shop person Ms. Nithya (working at Athithan) and the complaint # given to me is CHE27031007M then a person from SPS Electronics came to my house on 31/03/2010 (after repeated phone calls to Athithan ) and attended the problem and said that it is rectified but again I faced the same problem then I approached Athithan and they gave me phone # 044-26590165 and then I have called many time and informed the person at this number requesting to attend the problem and then on 03/04/2010 evening Mr. Venkatesan came to my home and said that there is a major fault in the TV and have to take the Board in the TV to the service center and will make the problem rectified in 4 days and will bring back the board in a weeks time.
1. My question here is why the customer is doing very poor job. Why do you want us to call you repeatedly to attend the problem.
2. When your technician has attended the problem why was it not rectified properly.
3. When a complaint is registered on 27/03/2010 why the person is coming on 31/03/2010 to attend the problem when the service center is located in less than a kilometer distance (at Kavangarai) from my home. Please give importance to your customers. Don’t make them call many times.
4. How come a TV purchased in April 2009 (not even a year) is having major fault in it (i.e within a year). Why the product quality is that much poor. We know that Videocon is one of the Worlds famous consumer electronics company but how a product which is checked many times before it is brought to the market (shop for sales) is having such a major problem.
Please replace me the TV set since I dont believe that I will not face this same problem in this set after the warranty period is over.
I understand that manufacturing defects may happen when the company is manufacturing lakhs and lakhs of TV’s but Please take my TV set and replace me with a good TV set.
At the end i would like to say that I want my query to be resolved immediately or else i would to my dissatisfaction would have to go to CONSUMER GUIDANCE SOCIETY and other such organisation to put a light on your customer services. I hope to notice some response or action as soon as possible.
I have attached the purchase bill and the business card of the service center with this email.

its warranty period is 5 year .

I have purchased a Videocon 21 inches Flat Color TV at Puja Electronics Basmandi Chouraha, Lucknow on 05-08-10. I am facing some problem with the TV like the picture and speakers.
For this thru the shop keeper I raised a various complaint No.LUC1202110185 on 12-02-11, LUC1502110085 on 15.02.11 and LUC1********4 on 18.02.11 Mr. Fazal came to my home but he was not doing work properly. The fault is already as it is.
Please you give the direction for above fault to conserning engineers at lucknow service center..

I support this complaint.:Vedeocon Tv 21' model No: 5435-R Complaint: contrast not working ;I mean sound ok pictur ok but picture not clear: I am technician so picture tube;filement voltage :grid voltage ;fainal anode voltage :good working and tube base i'm changed but no clear picture. What proceuder this complint Nb: contrast .0 to 63 same picture no change

If u purchesed the instrument from dealer and it is defective so dealer have to replace it to cust. because it is new purchase.
Dealer told me that Videocon company is not give replacement for dvd but i want to tell u that if new dvd is defective so why it is not replace ?
I was purchased videocon dvd player with d2h satalite dvd but it was defective and it had starting problem , i was called to dealer and he told me that it was not our fault, and he send engg of d2h and he checked it and told me that SMPC was not worked and it was hanged often and often so smps have to replaced but i was purchased it new one so why i will repaired it i want that dvd replaced and new piece.Kindly check it and give me satisfaction from u.
