Dear Mr. Singh,
This is in continuation to our response dated 18/02/11 and subsequent conversation with our Service Manager, Ms. Anju Kajla regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account.
At the outset, we are disheartened to note that your recent interactions with the bank has not been upto your satisfaction. We assure you that it is our constant endeavour to provide outstanding service to you and ensure that your banking experience with us is always pleasurable.
We take this opportunity to confirm that your monthly statements are being despatched to your mailing address as updated in our records. Basis your concerns expressed with regard to the statement delivery, we have taken up the matter with the concerned. We observe that our courier personnel was in touch with you and had confirmed that your monthly statements were delivered at your mailing address. We also wish to confirm that, your card account was not registered for e-statement facility and hence your monthly statements were not despatched to your e-mail address.
On receipt of your complaint with regard to non receipt of your HDFC Bank Platinum plus card, we have taken a detailed review and observe from our records that your HDFC Bank Gold credit card was upgraded to Visa Platinum plus credit card basis your request. We observe that the said Platinum credit card was despatched to your mailing address on 24/04/10 through Blue Dart courier. However, the same was returned undelivered for the reason ''customer not available''.
The attempts to deliver the card did not meet with success for the above said reason and the mentioned credit card was returned to the Bank and the same was destroyed at our end for security reasons.
As the Gold card was upgraded to a platinum credit card, the outstanding on the old card was transferred to the new card. Accordingly, the credit card statements mentioning the upgraded card number – 4050 **** **** 8289 was sent to your mailing address recorded with us. Our records indicate that we were not in receipt any payments since October'10 statement except for a payment of Rs.4550.00 received on 08/02/11 which was not sufficient to cover even the minimum amount due. Hence, bank charges as applicable were levied on your card account.
However, in appreciation of your valued relationship, we have arranged to reverse late payment charges amounting to Rs.1875.10 including the service tax levied to your card account since November'10 statement. The relevant credits would reflect in your statement dated 15/03/11.
The card account is temporarily invalidated from further usage and there is an outstanding of Rs.33,858.04 payable on your card account as on date. We request you to effect immediate payment towards atleast the minimum amount due of Rs.17517.60 to regularise your card account and avoid permanent suspension owing to continued non-payment. Please note that any partial payments less than the total amount due as per your credit card statement would attract applicable interest charges on your card account.
Please feel free to contact our Bank representatives at the contact number: (011) – 41514332 for issuance of a replacement card post regularising your card account. Basis the discussion with Ms. Kajla, we understand that you do not want to discuss anything further and would revert to us upon receipt of our response. or write to us at customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com for any further clarification / assistance that your may require with regard to your credit card account and we shall be glad to assist you.
