Dear sir,
I purchaged a new car i20 MAGNA models bearing chasis no-MALBB51BLAM195747F,engine no-G4LAAMA51652 from KOSHALA HYUNDAI motors pvt ltd Rourkela on 15.07.2010. I came to know the central locking system of the car is not functioning properly.Whenever the inner handle(for opening the door) of the front doors are pulled in locked position doors are opening. I contacted the concerned autho.dealer regarding this problem but failed to get the solution they replied badly that this feature is provided in the models,They canot do anything and they were not aware of it also.
As safety is concerned HYUNDAI COMPANY has not at all cnsidered the passenger's safety. How can the company make such graet mistake in designing unsafe locking arrangement in the car.You just think when car is playing in speed and the inner handle being operated this may lead to a serious accident.
Kindly take neccessary action and find out the solution of unsafe locking arrangement.
Thanking you

Dear Sir
This is not a fault but a feature. Normally cars are locked so that they could not be opened from the outside. There is no requirement for locking the car from inside and preventing the passengers from getting out. You will notice that as soon as u switch off the engine, the doors unlock automatically. Again this is a security feature that the car unlocks in cases where accidents happen.

If you are concerned about children playing with the door handle while the car is in motion, please make them sit in the back seats (standard practice all over the world) and activate the child lock which is present in the back doors of the vehicle.
