I have relocated to Chennai and as I had to start all things from scratch including TV, broadband etc. I thought of using Airtel ( both DTH and broadband), I had a DTH connection back in previous city and wanted it to be xferred. Given request n number of times no one turned up. All customer rep commit timeframe but no one delivers it. I kept waiting for over a month, then I got a call saying will install but I have to bring old dish ( do they expect me to go way back to Delhi by Air to get that ?). I made clear that I didn't bring and will pay for same. They refuse connection and on top of keep on deduction my account without services.
The bad experience with Airtel didn't end here. I had applied for broadband. got a message that it will be installed in 3 days. Its been over 5 days and I haven't heard anything. When I call the dealer he said the engineer is coming. Not sure if he's coming from pluto or some other planet.
Looking at this I am also thinking of cancelling both of my Airtel mobile numbers too.
Worse service Airtel.
