HDFC Bank Credit Card - Threatening call to Non-Customer to pay outstanding dues

Hello Sir/Madam,

Good Evening

I have received around approx 100 calls on my corporate landline number and my mobile number from HDFC Bank Credit Card collection team regarding outstanding dues of my father.

I received call from numbers ********77, ********55 and 04442957100

I mentioned to all the persons called from above numbers that I am not in touch base with my father since quite long due to personal reasons and I do not have his contact details so unable to help them with it. After which those persons started using slangs words on mother/sisters, abusive language and very rude while talking.

I told them the credit card was not issued to me against my personal name. I have not used that credit card. I was not being asked whether credit card need to be issued. I was not inquired about the credit worthiness of the customer. I am not an guarantor to anyone. Then why are they talking with me this way? To which they said you are responsible to pay it. I asked them to show me a clause where it is mentioned that the credit card recovery dues are to be paid or recovered from person other then the credit card holer. Then they started again using slangs and abusive language.

These people are calling on my corporate landline numbers and are giving slangs and abusive word to my corporate people and they are telling them to forward this call to my HR Team and CEO of my company. My corporate people said them they are not entitled to call on the corporate landline number they again started using slangs.

I would like to file a complaint against HDFC Bank Credit Card mentioning I am not their customer then why are they calling me on my cell number and mentally torturing me? Who gave them authority to use slangs and abusive words to recover the amount of a non -customer? Who gave them right to call to a non-customer and on the corporate number of the non-customer?

Expecting strict action need to be taken against these people since these people are not knowing how to behave with the people and they are creating a bad image for me and my organisation unnecessarily.
