i am here because i am seriously contemplating suing Tata Docomo. I have been a user of both the photon plus as well as their mobile service.

!. The details are: photon plus account number : ********67. the claim is an outstanding of rs 400 odd. This is a 2 year old issue. i changed the photon plus connection from post paid to pre paid, as everyone is aware, this is not possible without first settling all outstanding dues. inspite of my doing so and continuing to use the pre paid version of photon plus on the same account number i have been getting legal notices and threats for non payment of outstanding dues.
2. i have recently shut down my tata docomo post paid number ********86 due to poor service and coverage. i have paid the full dues and have informed the call center of the closure of this after paying full dues which they acknowledged. Now i am continuing to receive monthly bills, phone calls and sms that are threatening in nature for payment. This is the worst kind of advertisement and service i have faced yet from any company and never expected this from a Tata company.
The fundamental cause for this issue is they do not let you close your connection at a Tata docomo store and make sure you have to go via their call center to close a connection even though you pay and do all the other formalities at the store. The call center then proceeds to try and talk you out of disconnecting. Once failed, they neither send you an email acknowledgement of your request, nor do they send you a confirmation that having completed the formalities they will close your account as requested.
This is definitely a scam used to extort money from innocent citizens without providing service. i have no idea how many poor and innocent citizens have fallen prey to this scam and have paid for service not provided. i would like to gather all these citizens and file a class suit against this erring company and finally put a stop to this malpractice.
