Hello,

Reference: New connection application No.: SEF No. CH 1051842
Location: Chennai, Tamilnadu

1. I submitted the form for Airtel broadband connection of 25th June 2010 to Mr. Arun Kumar (Mobile No. ********05). He committed that the connection will be installed by Saturday (26th June). Since I am working and I cannot be available on week days in day time, it is required to install the connection in the weekend only.
On Saturday, wiring was done at my home but the phone instrument and modem were not installed. I called Mr Arun Kumar several times but he did not took my calls. I even sent him SMS. even then he did not replied me back. I called Airtel customer support (044-44444121). To the worst of my experience, they gave me Arun Kumar\'s number only to coordinate. They even didn\'t took my complain.
Here are some useless mail IDs, where I sent my complains:
nodal.southabts@airtel.in, care.tamilnadu@airtel.in, appellate.southabts@airtel.in

2. After few days of followup with Airtel customer care and nodal office. I talked to Mr. Santhosh and Ms Poornavalli in Tamilnadu Airtel Nodal office (044-42100356) several times about this. Most of the time nobody is there in nodal office to receive the phone. I had to call atleast 30 times in two days to get it connected to him. they told me that the connection cannot be given because the capacilty is exceeded in that area. They asked me to wait. Whenever any port is available, they would give me connection. Other option is to take refund of my deposit. I opted for refund. They asked me to raise the request for refund.
The refund request is created. The Id is: 34435654.
Later on when I asked for status on this, they gave me new id: 34534266.
Still i do not have any updates on this.

3. Since then, I am tired of receiving customer care calls from Airtel for refund. Some one, Ms Hasina, Airtel billing department keeps on calling me everyday. She asked me to raise new request with \'Sales\' department for the refunds!!! They are from billing department and hence cannot do anything for the refund now!!!
I am surprised... why I need to call them again and again. First I had to follow up for the connection and status. Now I have to follow up for the refund!!! Why don\'t Airtel settle it internally and process my refund at the earliest.

I don\'t know why should I care about any department at Airtel. Since Airtel was not capable enough for giving me the connection, hence they have to refund my money. It is really very bad that I am being harassed for my refund now.

It was my mistake that I reached to Airtel for boradband connection. Now I am struggling for the refunds.

At all levels, Airtel is just worst. Right from thier sales representative, customer care, nodal officers... I sent mail to appellate also. But I just get auto-generated mail from them. There is no response from them. They are always in mailing list. But they do not react on this.

I want to know someone who really works. I want the contact details of someone who really cares about customers.
It was my mistake that I went to Airtel for boradband connection. I\'ll never do this again. I would request everybody to not to go for Airtel.

Finally I took connection from Reliance. I had an excellent experience. within one hour of application, I got connection and within another one hour it was activated. I am all set and using the internet. Their service is amazing, atleat so far.

Thanks,
Suresh Gupta

Yes. I got the refund from Airtel. However, I don't know what they did for their poor services.
Giving the refund is not the solution. That was anyways supposed to be given. But what about the time I wasted because of poor services at all levels at Airtel.

The telecom industry is growing in India with a rapid pace but unfortunately, the telecom companies are not competent enough to handle that.

i got IPTV service disconnected because of bad service being provided by airtel, inspite of getting various tkts logged with airtel , the technicians visiting were unable to solve the problem of breaking pictures/pixels and still picture problem after every 10-15 mins of modem reboot...... as per the technician the problem explained was related to exchange MUX which cannot be changed as many customers were active on it.....

After the disconnection from unacceptable services the IPTV equipments were returned back to airtel and was promised the installation changes back within 45 working days.
but now when i asked for refund status customer care says that this was a non refundable charge and cannot be refunded.

I support this complaint.

Hi Suresh,

I am facing same situation from airtel regarding the refund for non feasibility of broadband connection. I have applied on 21st May for the connection. Within a week I was told that they can't give the connection and for the refund I need to raise the request. I have raised the request and was asked to wait for 2 weeks to get my refund amount. After two weeks I contacted them again to get the same response that it will take 2 weeks. I am really frustrated with this. I don't even feel like following up. I get upset even on calling them to hear bad responses. I suggest all not to go to airtel for broadband connections..may be other services as well.
such a sucking company it is.
I am repeating again please do not go to airtel for internet connections.

regard
kames
