I had purchased a New Maruti Wagon-R CNG on 28th December, 2012.
I had chosen this car for purchase on the behalf of Maruti’s unbeatable market presence in India as well as the best car manufacturing, sales and after sales services.
But, my aspirations from the most prestigious car of Maruti had badly hurt when on 25th February, 2013; Monday morning my car was showing Engine (orange) sign on the speedometer panel and I was feeling some problem while starting. When I opened the bonnet of the car I was shocked to see that the heating sensor’s wire and earth (steel) wire were damaged and the airconditioner’s hose pipe was also badly hurt.
This was a shocking situation of life for me in last 19 years of driving. And when I have investigated that how can it be done, it came to my notice that all this mess has done by the street dogs. Because I had find the destroyed portion of the sleeve and the heating sensor’s wire from the soil beneath the car.
It is very amazing that a car manufacturing company like Maruti has designed its most selling car in such a way that the street dogs can find a suitable space from beneath the car’s bonnet and do the mess whatever they desire or wish for.
It is just ridiculous that the car is having such a large open and easily accessible space in between the engine’s mounting and front grill. And if Maruti has some justified reason for such eft over open space then why not they cover it up with some steel plate from beneath. I suppose Maruti is also have joined such group of car manufacturing companies which are launching new and new cars in the market only for capturing the sales and not emphasising on the car’s or car owner’s safety measures.
When I discussed all this matter with one of my friend who is a senior mechanical engineer in a prestigious Indian car manufacturing company, his remarks were even more shocking as he told me that “This car can caught fire any time as the hose pipe of the air-conditioning system was in touch with engine and I was along with my family at life’s risk if I continue to driveâ€.
Since 26th Feb, 2013; the day I had lodged the complaint with Maruti and putting up my concern on daily basis through the following e mail ids : Manish.Kumar@maruti.co.in, zz_customer.care@maruti.co.in, rc.bhargava@maruti.co.in, ceo@maruti.co.in, s.nakanishi@maruti.co.in, GurkiratSingh.Kapoor@maruti.co.in
but they are not ready to accept the fault at Maruti's end rather they are repeatedly suggesting me to sent my vehicle to the workshop and get it repaired on my own.
I am not using my car since the day of incident and the vehicle is in stand still position from 25th Feb, 2013.
You people are requested to visit along with your investigation team as soon as possible. I am in a great trauma and lost my mental peace as I have invested my last 6 years hard earned savings into this car and because of a single faulty design adopted by Maruti has put me and my car on a life threatening risk.
As the manufacturer and seller of the prduct its Maruti's responsibility to fix the responsibility and accept the faulty manufacturing design of the car.
I am eagerly waiting for your reply and after your revert I would decide my next step to be taken.
I am attaching some pictures of the damage occurred to the car for your reference. And can also forward you all the mails excahnged with Maruti.
Kindly help me to raise my voice as I am in great mental trauma and being cheated by Maruti.
