On 07th February, 2013 I was in Bangalore along with my wife. We had gone to Karnataka State Tourism Office (KSTDC) at Badami House, Opp. Corporation Office and purchased two tickets for our Ooty trip next day. In the KSTDC office I had used my Nokia mobile since the counter staff wanted to note down our mobile number. I had a Kerala Idea SIM and since I couldn't remember the number I used Idea code and gave them the number. This was around 4 PM and we had approx. spent 15 minutes there and while walking back towards the nearby bus stop we realised that our Mobile had been lost. We immediately went to KSTDC office and enquired with the counter staff, who started searching and checking with colleagues. Meanwhile, I used my wife's Mobile and called my lost Mobile number. A person picked up the call and I requested him in English to return the mobile. But, I was not clear what he was telling, probably he was speaking in Kannada, so I gave the phone to a counter staff and he spoke to him in Kannada. They spoke a few minutes and the counter staff told me the person is waiting at Kamat hotel nearby and we could go and collect the mobile. Our dress colour and identification details were given to him and the counter staff said though he requested, the person did not give his personal mobile number for us to contact saying that he didn't have one. We immediately rushed to Kamat hotel (5 minutes walk) but at Kamat hotel he was not to be found in spite of all efforts by Kamat hotel manager and staff. The mobile was ringing for some time and then I sent an SMS using my wife's mobile to return the mobile. We continued our search for about one hour but he switched off the mobile.

I couldn't report a complaint then since I didn't have the IMEI number and on return to Muscat I got the same and details are below :
