Bangalore City Police - My mobile was pickpocketed on 02/01/2014 while travelling in BMTC bus

I was travelling by BMTC bus from TIN Factory, K R Puram to Phoenix Mall City on 02/01/2014. My Samsung Ace Plus mobile was pickpocketed while travelling. The bus was over crowded and this was the reason for the theft. This happened at about 10.00 AM while I was travelling to my work place at Brigade Metropolis. I lodged a complaint at Mahadevapura Police Station on 03/01/2014. The sub-inspector just gave me a acknoledgement for the complaint and did not write any FIR. Its almost ten days after the incident and still the police have not responded. Kindly take some action so that I can get my mobile back. The phone was costed me Rs 15,500/-.

Sorry to hear about this. I too lost my Lava iris 504q. it costed 14.5k. it was pick pocketed on 4-2-2014. similar fashion. crowded doorway. in the hurry to get out the bus, I got tricked. Asked many people who lost phones. they say even police are helpless. there is no way to track it. interestingly today on 3-2-2014, I in encountered the same crowded doorway, with no way for me to get down on my stop. I pushed through. I felt my new phone sliding away slowly from my pocket. I checked my pocket, phone was gone. so I stood at the door and shouted not allowing any passenger to get down and shouted at the police to take the bus to police station. that moment the the if threw the phone on the floor. as I took it he ran away. I saw two of them. they operate in groups so they can pass the phone easily if caught. my advice - never board a crowded non AC bmtc.
