I had paid Premium for my policy and handed over the cheque to the insurance company agent who credited the amount to his personal account. Now I am not able to track that Insurance Agent, also company i not taking any iniciative to find him. Company says that the do not have his address or other details that may help to find him except his mobile no. which has been switched off since the incident. Also false premium receipt was issued.
Now I want to raise this question that-
1) Isn't there any verefication procedure adopted by co. before appointing agents?
2) How can co. accept premium cheque not in the name of policy holder but in name of someone not related to policy holder & issue false premium receipt ?
