I am a customer holding an account in the Kolkata branch of your bank. I had deposited my salary cheque on 09.01.2014 in my account for which Rs100 has been debited from my account . Reason given is that there has been overwriting in the date part. However there is no overwriting in the date part . Moreover the chq was from HDFC Bank . HDFC has cleared the amt and the same has been debited from my account. However PNB has refused to accept the deposit and has deducted Rs. 100 from my account. I have lodged a complaint using the toll free customer care no. Complaint No is :- ******** Dt:-06.2.2014 . However till date nothing has been done to reverse the deduction made from my account. The customer care executives on the online toll free no have no knowledge of the banking business. They are unable to comprehend the problem let alone give a solution. The branch head of the ketopole branch of PNB Bank is indifferent and says that he has no power . I have been asked to contact the on line toll free no. again and again. WOuld Request you to look into the matter or i have no other option but to withdraw the account from your bank and i will also ensure that my families and friends also close their account in your bank.
