Mahindra and Mahindra - Im totally fed up with car related problems of Rexton RX-7, HR-01AJ-8688

Dear Concern,

Ref. trail mail!!

In-spite of keeping the car for almost 5 days at KBS Mahindra in the month of March with numerous road test, off road test and other test related to car performance, we regret to inform you after getting the car on 18th of March, the car has been to KBS Mahindra twice after that and it is still lying there from the last 4 days!!! Now you keep your feet’s in my shoes, what should I do with this piece of non responsive thing, I cannot take my family out just because of the fact that it may stop in between, as I have completely lost the trust in this car!!!

Please do let me know what is the best alternative to get out of this trouble…as I do not wish to retain this car !!!!

Also, I know the efforts of Mahindra people cannot be over shadowed but there is definitely something wrong with this piece and there is some technological lag!!!

This is in reference to our today’s discussion. At the outset we regret for the inconvenience caused to you & your brother on account of any communications gaps. Although M/s KBS Ambala had attended all issues raised by your brother when vehicle was received. We have aligned M/s KBS Ambala to attend rear bumper also for paint job which is mentioned in your recent mail. This being a pre-owned car, we could have asked Speedlink to attend such paint related jobs at their workshop at Panchkula. But to avoid any inconvenience to you, we have taken call to attend this at dealer nearest to you. I am sure you will like this gesture and will give us opportunity to serve in near future also. Assuring our best services.

Greetings!!

With ref. to the trail mail, we wish to convey the message that the way KBS and Mr. Harish Mehta took the issue was very commendable, however it took more than 4 days to rectify the things but we can understand that it takes time to do these kind of jobs but still there are certain issues pending like the rear left door is still making some kind of noise and also with ref. to the discussion with the supervisor of KBS Mahindra indicated that the rear bumper is also repainted, he told us to raise this issue in front of Mr. Harish Mehta and we did the same but one thing is there that the way Mr. Harish Mehta talked to my brother was totally unacceptable, we being the customer of Mahindra, he has to listen and have to give appropriate answer not just giving us some kind of unauthorised answers.

I would say the KBS people did the good job in handling the issues, initially Mr. Harish Mehta did the same but in the end the talking gesture was just inappropriate of Mr. Harish Mehta.

I hope you will find things in order.

Greetings from QUASMO, India.

We, M/S Quality Scientific & Mechanical Works is a Indiginious company who produces Microscopes, Lenses & Prisms for various Government instututes, Semi-Government institutes and Ministry of Defence, India.

Last year in the month of April, we purchased the Demo vehicle Rexton RX-7 (Hr-01-AJ-8688) from Speedlinks, Panchkula, we were well explained that this car was a demo vehicle and was also used by MD of the Speedlinks as his self driven car, as the car was driven by MD of the company so we thought he will be driving with the utmost care and it was driven around 23K and 23K for the car like RX-7 we thought would be nothing and we took the decision of buying this car from Speedlinks. But all our hopes started demolishing from the very second day of buying this car.

On the very second day, the car engine got heat up, there was smoke from the hood and the engine belt broke and that day the car was towed away by the KBS Mahindra people, Ambala and got that rectified in almost 3 days. After that we thought everything will be fine. But the series of the problem in the car was never ending.

After couple of days after getting the car back from the KBS mahindra, the rear left tyre got flat and when we got that cross checked we got to know that the tyre once was torn up and the people of Speedlinks got that tyre re-rubberised.

At that time we also get to know that the car was hit by somebody and the front and the rear bumper were dented and re-painted. The speedlinks officials should have told this prior purchasing this car.

Also, when the things got thouroughly checked by us, we got to know that both the ORVMS were rettrofitted and doesn’t work fine and till date the same problem persists, also there is some irritating noise comes from the hood when the car goes though some rough patches and there are mainy noises from the B-pillar of the car and from the front door locks of the car. The AC filter was not working either, so speedlinks replaced it, the AC vents of the car in B row and in C row were also retrofitted.

Then almost 3 months back, our family planned the trip to Mussorrie and in Dehradun, some engine check sign apprered and the car got stop after running for few meteres and than car again got towed by the Mahindra agency of Dehradun and got back after 2 days. Our all programs went in vain.

Almost 2 months back , the gear box blows off and we have to almost wait for 3 weeks to get the gear box fit in our car and at the same time the sunroof of the car was fixed by the technicians of KBS mahindra as it was not getting closed properly.

After, that almost a month back, same engine check sign apprered and the car got stop (no ignition) and than car again got towed by the KBS Mahindra agency of Ambala and got back after 7 days.

And the list still goes on couple of Days ago, the car got stopped in the midle of the road and at that time there was no ignition even trying for couple of times and than we push the car to the corner of the road and wait for almost an hour to get the engine back to normal temperature.

So, in a span of almost 10 months, this car has been to service station for more than 15 times, apart from the regular service schedule.

This is not at all acceptable for a customer who has spent his 20+ Lacs of buying this car which has Mercedes Engine & gear box, what we want is to kindly arrange your visit with your experts that why this 23 Lacs worth car is giving so much of truble, why the chassis of the car is making literally unbearable noises, why this car has this kind of major breakdowns.

We have almost 7 cars which includes almost Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Suzuki,and other brands and have driven around
125 K+ and never got the gear box replaced, the chassis is still strong as before, they still run like a new car than why this Ssangyong Rexton which is the top of line Luxury SUV is creating such kind of problems.

We request you to arrange your visit and try to solve our problems ASAP and also, if you think it is viable we have no problem in giving extra lac or 2 for buying your Brand new Rexton Rx-7 which we think should have no problem in that.

Please comment and advice.
