Blocking of the bank saving bank account even after calling for card closure. Resulting in boucing of a cheque

Dear Sir,

Sub: Grievance regarding my Saving Bank account –

In my saving bank account number XXXX, Rs 12,766 has been reserved for some payment dues.

we wanted to close the credit card and have been calling the executives to come and collect the final settlement amount and close the card for us, everyt ie they say they will come, but no one has met us personally till date. Now, all of a sudden rs. 28,000 appromixately has been deducted from my Salary account which I had kept some amount for paying other dues.

I have few major concerns regarding ICICI bank.

1) The amount in my saving bank account was reserved without any prior intimation given to me. For your information my saving bank account and ICICI credit card are separate accounts and are not linked.

2) There is no proper response from the ICICI staffs, at any level. Y\'day (5th June\'09) I spoke to the head of credit control team in Chennai, who promised that a person will do the closing formality within an hour. But till now no one even called me.

3) Four cheques of mine has bounced from my account because of deactivating my current savings account

All this has created a very bad impression about ICICI bank. I want a solution of the issue from you immediately and a reply from you within three days. Failing which I will have to go to legal option, as I am myself getting into problem because of the cheque bounce. Even I am suffering untold misery because of my block in the salary account of ICICI Bank. We hope ICICI people will do the needful immediately.
