Dear Executive,

I recently came across the information that you have stopped confirming payees on phone and also one need to visit ICICI branch office for updating phone numbers.

Fine, I visit ICICI Bank Baner, Pune Branch on Saturday. I got the form to fill up to update my mobile number and submit it with one of your executive. Nobody asked for my identification proof while taking the form. Lady there said it will be updated in 48 hours. I check it on coming Monday and it has only been updated for mobile alerts. Then I call your customer care, they take the complain and say it will take 2 days to update the number for internet banking and 3 cooling days before I can add a payee for receiving confirmation code on my mobile number.

That means you will take 7 days i.e. to update a mobile number in your database? Why is that so? No process/identification in your branch office and you say you are bringing up processes to prevent frauds online? This is crazy and impacting the customers if needed to make transfers urgently.

Hope you introduce some expedition steps.

Regards,
Amit Singh

I supp really fed up with icici bank.when i plan to open my demat account they told it will get activate with in 9business days.I clearly hand over all the documents to Mr Ramesh at electronic city branch...and i had a talk with relational manager Mr Prakash ever he suggested it will get activate soon(wit in 9days).But these people really wasting customers time by playing signature is missing, just creating unwanted atmosphere. Finally my account got activated after 25days time. But still my currency part is not activated i called many times but no one will pick my call and answer if i cal with different no just they will say that it will get acvitate today, tom.Bulshit these people dont understand customer need they creating lot of nonsense for the people

I recomend any one wants to open an account with ICICI before that make an agreement bond with the branch manager mentioning account will activate with in 9days.
They used to say all *** thing by mentioning for security reason it's getting delay i had nearly 4 account but biggest mistake i done opening my account in ICICI BANK.

any officer from ICICI BANK wants to cont plz do needfull

I support this complaint. This case happned for me twice. I was requested to update my mobile no. for further communication from bank means they should update the new mobile no. including payee alerts as well. As i am in abroad Its not possible for me to visit the bank branch to give my request letter. As they requested, i sent my request letter and id proof to the corresponding branch. It took 8 days to reach the branch. It never get updated for payee alerts. I received alert stating my mobile no. has been updated for alerts only. Then i called the customer care and asked them why you are doing like this. Already its too late for me to get my payee alerts still you are asking me to wait 3 more days. Are you crazy, Why the mobile no updation will take 3 working days? I am also working for banking application development. Hardly it will not take more than 5 seconds to update the new mobile no. I am really unhappy with ICICI bank customer service. :-(

Dear Amit,

At the outset we regret the inconvenience caused due to certain process changes made at our end in the interest of our valued customers. Further, ID proof should have been collected by the branch as a process.

We thank you for highlighting this to us. We assure you that necessary feedback has been given to the officer.

Regards,
ICICI Customer Service Team.
