Sir,
I have taken Centurion Bank of Punjab Credit Card and paying my dues regularly within due date in due course Centurion Bank of Punjab was taken over by ICICI Bank Ltd. After that I was not able to know the outstanding amount due to non receipt of statements. One fine day ICICI Bank persons has sent a statement showing the late payment charges and overlimit charges etc. I was astonished and asked ICICI Bank persons and explained the above matter. They have a letter on 02-04-2009 as follows:
To,
KONAKALLA VENKATA SESHAVATHARAM
SHOP NO: 231, IRON COMPLEX,
BHAVANIPURAM,
VIJAYAWADA-520012.

Sub: Settlement of due on ICICI Bank Credit Card Account No: 4443410056142001
This refers to your discussion with the representative of the bank.

In view of the exceptional circumstances as explained by you, we confirm the acceptance of Rs: 14500/- (Fourteen thousand five hundred rupees only) in one installments as full & final amount on those mentioned card account by Cas.

REPAYMENT PLAN

Instalment of payable by cash/chq Rs: 14500/- on or before 03-04-09.

The above full and final payment being granted One - time basis without setting any precedent and timely payment is essence of this payment offered to you.

This communication is expressly in reference to the above card account only and is strictly confidential.

After receiving the above letter I have paid the amount on the same day bearing the receipt No. 7477024. After paying this amount I have cancelled the card but, the ICICI BANK has harassing me by sending persons to pay the balance amount.
Please do the needful in the above matter.
