I was traveling by Train no. 12271 / NDLS Duronto Exp on night of Apr. 09 from Lucknow to Delhi in Coach A1 (PNR No. 2218665796) and while I had asked for a lower berth at the time of reservation, still the system had alloted me the side upper berth.

Since I was traveling with my 2yr old son I requested the TTE B.L. Chalpathi whose entitlement was for the berth below my allotted berth to exchange same as I could not sleep with a 2yr child on an upper berth. However instead of being consenting, he argued back and raised his voice and was extremely rude and harassed me over this simple request. Only after a longtime when I solicited my co-passengers support did he consent to give the lower berth and as seemed to be interested in getting a bribe for the same.

This sort of behavior from an Indian Railways employee has left me traumatized as even with a lady as Railway Minister, women are being harassed like this. I would like strict action to be taken against TTE B.L. Chalpathi.
