Ashika Fashion Wear - Failure to respond to complaint on defective product

Subject: Defect in saree purchased - Bill No T1/00001266 (17 Aug 2010)


Dear Sir / Madam,

I purchased six (6) sarees at your shop located in J.B. Nagar, Andheri (E), Mumbai on Tuesday, 17 Aug 2010 at 8:30 pm. Please refer to your Bill No. T1/00001266.

Although I saw the sarees before purchase, I did not completely inspect each saree, in the belief that that products on display for sale would have met strict quality control standards of your reputable organisation. Subsequently I did not open the packed sarees.

On my return to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this morning (19 Aug), my wife checked each saree and found defect (torn edge) on one of the sarees. The particular product code for the saree is SGTE012920 which I purchased at price of Rs 2,645/-. I have attached several photos to show the defect on the saree, which is qute serious.

In the circumstances, I seek the kind consideration of Ashika Fashion Wear to exchange the saree at no additional cost to me or alternatively refund the purchase price of Rs 2,645/- to me. My address, contact details and bank account number are set out below.

Your cooperation in the above matter is very much appreciated. I am certain that your favourable response to my request would serve to reaffirm my trust that Ashika Fashion Wear adopts high standards of business ethics towards your customers, both in India and overseas.
