Engineer - Delay in Passport

I have applied Passport for my wife on:17/04/10 in Bangalore one.

But still I haven’t received any police verification or any updates about Passport status, even I checked with the police stations and they haven’t received the Application yet it seems, almost 6months over.

Please do needful.
