I am Kaushik G, an Airtel Subscriber for the past 1.5 years with subscriber id: 0********21.

I have as I said earlier this connection for the past 1.5 years and have been quite happy with it, however, whenever I need to contact the Customer service wing of Airtel, I get shivers in my spine. Although your website says that you have setup a (24X7) customer service, I am extremely sorry to bring to your notice (as you might have forgotten to perform a regular check), most of the time post 00:00 HRS, the lines keep ringing and no one responds. And that has been happening eversince I have this connection.

On the same track record of Airtel's so called customer (NO) service, when on 30th August 2011 (Tuesday) Morning 09:00 HRS, I tried calling, the phone lines kept ringing and ringing. I tried all the options available on the internet, given on the TV, all the options provided by the IVR thinking atleast someone would pick up the phone from a different department if not technical support but alas to my dismay, its the same old story. After almost 57 minutes of hold music, I was able to reach a representative who listened to my issue regarding relocation request of broadband connection and gave me a Case Ref # 5128204 and informed that it would be done on 3rd September 2011.

However, on the 3rd, 4th, 5th of September I did not receive a call from Airtel as promised and hence called them myself. I spoke with someone who informed it would be taken on priority and received a message that it would be completed the next day within 10:46 AM. On the amazing hopeless track records of Airtel, I did not receive a call as usual on 6th September either and again I called your customer (NO) service, to which they escalated me from one wing to other and after almost spending 45 mins on phone one gentleman very rudely informed me that " They cannot provide me connection and I can do whatever I want". I wanted this to be escalated but it was denied.

Later I was informed that they would provide me connection in 10 days. Well, I would really like to know how many days of Airtel would comprise of 10 days of a normal Indian. I did not receive any intimation from Airtel till last Friday i.e. 30th September 2011 when a gentleman from Airtel called and informed me that they would be coming to provide me connection to my new address on 4th October 2011 (Tuesday). I took a days OFF and waited the whole day for a call or someone to visit my premises but was highly disappointed again.

Also I was told I would not be charged for the period I have not been able to use my connection, however I have still been charged. I would demand that to be waived out at the earliest.

As I am typing this e-mail to you...I am still waiting for my luck so that this rings a Bell in deaf ears and help me....Just wanted to check with you...should I disconnect the connection now due UTTER DISGUST, ANGER, FRUSTRATION ET AL?

I am also a middle management staff from the same industry & I assure you that I have always been known to be escalation pally & willing to help customers by going extra SPACE miles if required....I have customer testimonials & print outs to prove that!

I have written this e-mail to you as a preface to the impending actions that I plan to undertake as a disgruntled and cheated Customer....PLEASE ASK YOUR SYSTEM TO WAKE UP ...ELSE I AM FORCED TO GO TO THE PRESS (I am free lance journalist), LAMBLAST YOUR FIRM AS AN ADVERSE AMBASSADOR, FILE MY GRIEVANCE WITH THE CONSUMER GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL FORUM....As I understand the Consumer Grievance cell details for Bangalore are as mentioned below:
