I being a post paid customer of Airtel, feel harassed by the Airtel services people, repeatedly due to the mistake on thier part. Below are the details.
1. I registered for Airtel services for both GSM and 3G services on my phone with post paid conditions. I have never missed the payment on any of my bills till date.
2. I registered my Airtel mobile account in the Bill Pay option of AXIS bank and made payments against my bills every month.
3. In Aug 2012, the bill generated was not raised against the AXIS bank bill pay option, but AXIs bank has a registered AIRTEL in thier Direct Pay option where I can make the payment in advance. So i paid my Airtel mobile bills on 4th of Sept (due date 9th Sept) and also received confirmation that payment is successful.
4. on 15th sept i get a call form Airtel, claiming the bill is not paid, and so i gave the full transaction details of AXIS bank. The executive confirmed that the payment is reflected, and sorry for that not being reflected against my account. He even raised an internal complaint regarding this.
5. on 24th Sept, I get the bill amount credited back to my acocunt in AXIS bank, and so I checked with bank and they confirmed, that
its re-funded from Airtel's acocunt. So I call Airtel and raise a complaint on this and tell them they cannot claim that i did not pay, and it is thier system that is generating the trouble and resolve the problem internally first.
6. After 15th, i keep getting random calls from ********25 (Airtel executive) and they never talk. I understand thats its form airtel from other old calls, and so ask them if its airtel, and then they speak to pay my bills. This is harassment and when i raised my voice not to harass, they kind of stopped, even though they did call today and did not speak.
Why do Airtel being so big name in mobile services, have to do these cheap tactics to get a bill paid for just Rs.800? Is this the way services are going down the quality drain these days?
So Airtel, STOP harassing your customers and hear to thier problems with ur services before trying to intimidate them to accepting you as thier service provider. I will move out of services given a chance. I thought of getting Airtel DSL, but now will wait until BSNL can provide me with a line. I do not mind waiting long time for BSNL then to get registered for harassment form these privvate service providers as they seem answerable to none.
