On 17th Februray 2013, I had purchased two numbers of Crompton Greaves make Open Well Submersible pumps. The pumps are rated at 7.5hp, 415 v , 3 Phase. The two pumps were installed adjacent to each other at our premises.
During the first week of June 2013, one pump turned defective. Crompton people were contacted and they arranged for a replacement pump on 7th June 2013. There was gap of about 5 days when we were not provided with any alternate pump. We were told to collect the replacement pump from M/s Crompton's godown located near Bhiwandi. We did the same and also had it installed by a plumber at our cost.
But on 11th July 2013, the replacement pump too failed within one month's operation. Once again we contacted Crompton and after their inspection, We were provided with another replacement pump on 21st July 2013. This time, Crompton arranged for the replacement pump's transport to and from their godown.
Subsequently I had requested M/s Crompton to give me their QC findings on the causes for the twice repeated failures. I had mailed a chain of managers for this report and followed up. But sadly, I have not received any written response.
I would like such a reputed company like M/s Crompton to be receptive to consumer grievances and reimburse the cost involved by us on account of making alternate water arrangements, plumber charges and transport charges.
I am also dissatisfied with their poor quality product and after sales service centre behaviour
