Hi there,

My name is Rohan and I owned a Corporate Airtel Postpaid connection in Chennai.
The number was 90031-50011. I took this connection on December\'2008 wherein I
opted for the paper bills.

Currently, I have an outstanding of approx. Rs. 9,200 out of which approx. Rs. 5,200 has been charged wrongly for the services that I did not used and also, the required discounts were not provided.

June\'2009, I had to change my address due to change in my office location.
Since then I have been facing lot many issues being with Airtel. Below are my
concerns-

1. Immediately after I shifted my residence, I stopped paper-bills
and requested for e-bills. I sent the SMS as directed by Airtel almost 40-45
times but it was not updated. Then I called up Customer care and they updated
this wrongly. Since then I have not been receiving bills in any format.

I kept on putting the requests and this was never completed and every time the
Customer Care officials used to say, they have updated the e-mail address in
their database. But whenever I used to call up the next time, I was
disappointed to see that the e-mail ID is still wrong.

Upon asking for clarification, I used to get a reply that there was a technical
problem.

I agree there might be some technical problem, but if this problem persists for
almost 10 months then it is an alarm that either your Technical team is not
transparent or your Customer-Care officials are not truthful.

I have placed these requests for more than 30-40 times, but this was never
taken care of.

Also, when I used to manually request for specific month\'s bill, it was
diverted to wrong e-mail ID and I never received any bills.

2. June\'2009-Nov\'2009, I have been paying the bills without even
knowing the details of my charges. But since December I felt that I was
over-charged for some of the services like unnecessary GPRS charges and SMS
charges, along with some rubbish downloads like \"Hot Models Wallpapers\" (which
I never downloaded).

Since, then I have faced the similar sort of charges in the January, February
and March bill too.

3. Please note that my postpaid plan had-

125 rental for the services.

9,999 Local + STD SMS free as part of corporate plan.

99 Rs. rental for unlimited GPRS on Cell-phone. (Net-On-Phone)

99 Rs. rental for 50 MB GPRS on PC. (Mobile-office)

But even then the total limit that was allowed to me was 50 MB and I have been
charged for all the usage that exceeded 50 MB.

Also, I have been charged excessively for the SMS which I was supposed to get
free.

I requested the copy of Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar bills many times starting from
January itself, but it is being sent to me today. So what is the point in
sending me these bills now, when you guys have actually made all the benefits
of late fees, etc.

Please note that from January itself I have directed the customer-care as well
as some of your officials that I will make the payment and would like to
continue the same number, provided the wrong charges are reversed back. But
even then no one bothered to take care of this.

Mar\'2010, my Outgoing was barred. Although by this time I had already switched
to another service provider, I never had an intent of non-payment. Hence, I
kept this number alive in an alternate phone. I was waiting for any sort of
communications or settlements from your side.

I am already tired of trying the best from my side as I have been raising the
concerns from past 10 months. But sorry to say that there was no attempt from
your side even now. In fact I received 2 unsolicited calls from your side that
very rude and harsh. Those guys literally warned me and told that it will not
be good for me if I do not make the payment.

Apr\'2010 my incoming was also barred after which I kept your SIM aside.

Now following are my big questions-

1. Recovery agents have already been barred as per the government
policies. Also, the relationship is between me and Airtel. I will not entertain
any 3rd-party calls. I would like to know why I received such unsolicited
calls, even when I was open to any settlements and making out the payments?

At that time, I clearly mentioned them to approach me in a fair and
well-mannered way.

2. When I had already given ample of time to you guys to approach me
for any sort of settlements and settle the dispute, you people did not made any
approach apart from the reminders to make the payment.

Then why your officials are calling my friends and relatives asking for my
contact numbers now ?

To approach me you guys already have my e-mail(on which you sent the bill
today).

Please take it as a request or as a warning, that no such activities will be
entertained. Approach me in a fair and decent way with right behavior. And
immediately stop giving unsolicited calls to my friends and relatives. I assure
you that you will not gain anything from such childish and non-sense actions.
And I am going to take this very seriously if any further calls are made to any
of my contacts. And I will have no regrets to see you in consumer/judicial
court.

Please take them as my strict words and don¿t try to intrude in my personal
life.

3. Last but not the least, I am going to communicate with only one
representative from your side. I do not have enough time to describe my case in
detail to hundreds of your officials. So please decide on this one as well, on
who is going to communicate with me. All your queries and questions will be
replied. Just drop me an e-mail.

Going forward I am no more interested in availing your services and also I do not look forward for any settlements from my side now.

So please, discontinue my relationship with Airtel.

Thanks and regards,

Rohan

Hello Hanish,

Below are my statements that I made clear earlier also. Kindly go through the same again-

Your statement:

We understand from your previous interaction dated 09/05/10, you have expressed concern over non receipt of bills and charges towards the GPRS for your Airtel number ********11.

We understand your concern and will work towards resolving the same.

My statement:

I have placed these requests for more than 30-40 times, but this was never
taken care of.

----------------------------------------------
Your statement:

We would like to inform you that basis your complaint, we have investigated the possibility of the same. Please be informed that as per our record the GPRS charges are valid as per your usage.

My statement:

Please note that my CORPORATE postpaid plan had-

125 rental for the services.

9,999 Local + STD SMS free as part of corporate plan.

99 Rs. rental for unlimited GPRS on Cell-phone. (Net-On-Phone)

99 Rs. rental for 50 MB GPRS on PC. (Mobile-office)

But even then the total limit that was allowed to me was 50 MB and I have been
charged for all the usage that exceeded 50 MB.

I am 100% sure that I have not exceeded these GPRS limits.

Also, I have been charged excessively for the SMS which I was supposed to get
free.

Please note that NO APPLICABLE CORPORATE DISCOUNTS have been provided to me.

----------------------------------------------
Your statement:

However as per our record GPRS 2GB unlimited free service has been activated on 06/03/10 with monthly rental of Rs. 98/- and there is only 2GB unlimited free thereafter you will be charged 50KB@30ps.

My statement:

Yes, that is true. But immediately after this my services were discontinued.

----------------------------------------------
Your statement:

In view of the above, we regret to inform you that we are unable to provide waiver towards International Roaming usage charges.

My statement:

I have never been out of country before so there is no chance of International Roaming coming into play.
However, last week of April I moved out of India on long term assignment, but by this time my services were completely barred.

This clearly shows that there is a fault from your side.

----------------------------------------------
Your statement:

Hence, we request you to kindly clear the bill amount of Rs.9441.89/- in the invoice dated 07/0/10 to avoid late fee and enjoy uninterrupted service.

My statement:

Going forward I am no more interested in availing your services and also I do not look forward for any settlements from my side now.

So please, discontinue my relationship with Airtel.

HANISH AND VINAY,

Please note from your recent bills I calculated that out of approx. Rs. 9200 outstanding, my genuine bill is only Rs. 4,000 (+/- Rs. 200-300). Rest is amount that has been charged on the wrong grounds.

Constantly I was open to settlements, but the way you people have approached me is humiliating.
Even when my e-mail ID was in your database, there was no communication made to me.
Instead unsolicited calls were made to my friends, colleagues and relatives, portraying me socially and morally wrong. This was definitely an attempt to degrade my ethical sense and image among the society.
Your departments never made any fair and direct approach to me.

----------------------------------------------
A Question:

If this is a dispute and there has been few misunderstandings between Me and Airtel,
then please explain how far professionally and ethically this is right that you people are reaching out to my contacts to portray my wrong image, without even discussing this matter with me ?

KINDLY GIVE AN EXPLANATION.

This type of wrong publicity statements could have come from my side as well, but I never went for those non-sense actions.
----------------------------------------------

Also note that you guys, yourselves closed all the doors for any settlement.

Have all the formalities completed to disconnect me as one of your subscribers.

From my side it is all over. I am no more available in India, so I don't require any more of your services as well.

All the best with your business and I hope that in future no other customer faces such problem.

And for God's sake, please improve your Business Ethics and Code-of-Conduct.

Thanks and regards,
Rohan
