i had a telephone no 044-24660655 at my previous residence at Mylapore, chennai-600 004. i shifted my residence to a new address: Block-2, Flat-F, Ayswarya Prapancha Flats, Okkiampet Thuraipakkam, Chennai-600 097. this present address of mine is just by the side of Old Mahabalipuram Road, which is supposed to be a 'IT highway' !!!!!!! in Chennai. it is so sad. you know why? the BSNL has no cable facility/technical feasibilty to connect to my new house with a landline number. above all there was no contact with a customer who had requested the shift for at least 10 days from 28.02.2011 and the reply/service was negative.
but as suggested i surrendered the telephone on 30.03.2011 to SDE, CSC, MYAPORE, CHENNAI-4
i requested for my refund of initial deposit and i was very pleasingly informed to surrender my old instrument, originally installed on 25.09.1993 and the telephone directory as well.
it is a challenging thing for a person to keep an instrument for 18 years and also to maintain a directory for three/four years.
all these conditions to a customer who had never defaulted in payment of bills and the last bill dated was 05.03.2011 and paid on 25.03.2011.
the rest of the details are given by me for easy tracking of my records at your end:consumer no: 05300991106; installation date 25.09.1993; bill no 1101926945 dated 05.03.2011; type HC; Category NYT GEN; Class IDPVT.
Hope the BSNL take up my complaint at least and ensure : shift my telephone by keeping my surrender application null and void OR pay my deposit to my above address with any charges deducted for whatsoever reason.
