I have traveled from Kochi to Trivadrum on 25 / 9 / 2011 along with my kid.
I took a ticket from Kochi to Trivandrum for travel by Parasumram Express. There was heavy rush on the train and no place even to stand in the general coaches of the day express. We were standing in the way of the reserved second class coach. The TTEs asked us to get down and move another compartment. We told him that we will change in the next station. The two TTEs do not agree and we had to get down at Chengannur. We had to wait there for two hours to catch another train.
The TTEs are to be instructed to cope up with the over rush. The railway authorities should not sell more than the capacity. It is not the mistake of the passengers to buy tickets. The railways should have estimate of the second class seats and should not punish the passengers who are travelling with kids.
The rude TTEs are to be punished to the maximum extent possible. It is the TTEs, who are collecting bribes from passengers to allot even the RAC seats. They even collect over Rs 100 for each passenger. If proper system is implemented the who collected amount will go to the railways and not into the pockets of the so called rude and reckless TTEs.
The railways should add additional coaches if they are prepared to sell more tickets to make profits.
I request the railway authorities to look into the behavior of the TTEs and instruct them to maintain good behavior with respect to the passengers.
It is because of TTEs most of the people are either depending on flights or buses.
