Indian Railways - Railway station infrastructure at Banaswadi (Bangalore)

Sir / Madam.


am a regular traveler with family and friends from the subject railway station to CLT (calicut)


To start with a positive note,
this train was thrice weekly and now for more than a year, the efforts culminated through the railways, it has become a daily train and that too a regular stop at this short length platform with a shop and absence of coach position addressing / notice mechanism.

the regular stop at this BAND railway station is of profound advantage to the approximately (minimum) 500 families (in the vicinity of subject railway station only)

however mine and another fellow passenger's concern is towards the

a) short length of the platform, which resulted in a latest incident where the two AC coaches, two UR coaches and a SL coach was outside the platform length which resulted in a lady getting into a domestic accident while embarking onto the AC coach, this incident was on the train number 16527 dated 24th Dec 2011
this remains to be a dangerous proposition that whichever coaches are outside the platform length, the passengers have to take the risk of facing an accident while entrain and detrain.

b) no proper coach position addressing mechanism or coach position notice board or absence of such information when asked to the station master.
many times, the coaches arrive and depart in the same fashion., ie coach position never changes., from the engine the SL class coaches are enjoined in an ascending order and ends with the AC and UR coaches. This was taken for granted and some frequent passengers like me used to expect and en train within the 2 minute stop at this station.
however in the recent few weeks, the coach positions has changed and we ask the station manager who reports he will not have such information.
this has resulted in an incident where again the victims were a lady and two children under one PNR and another family of three/four under another PNR, some of whom were misguided (by the station master as well who seemed to have read S1 as ES1 and directed them to front end of the train.
by the time the passengers realized they had en trained the wrong coach, the 2 minute stop (at this short platform railway station) expired and the train was already on its wheels.

self walked the entire length of the train and found no coach marked with the name board ES1.
by this time the train disappeared from our vision.

in this case how does the railways and the TTE's expect the passengers to board the right coach.
i was told by these passengers (when contacted through their mobile phones) that the TTE in s2 did not even show mercy and asked them to swiftly move away (rather than pacifying them by making them sit down and to calm them)

of course the TTE had advised them not to get down at the next short station Karmelaram ie CLM, and that to de train at HSRA (Hosur)

self went back to the station master along with the other colleague of mine who witnessed incident 1 of ladies falling down while en training the AC coach.

we were told that there is nothing he can do about this and that we need to report to the complaints cell.

therefore this compliant email/letter of mine and to request for
a) increasing the length of the platform to help passengers of all coached to en / de train safely.
b) bring a coach position mechanism and/or a notice board displaying the same

kindly treat this as an important and execute these suggestions on an immediate basis as there are hundreds of passengers travelling every day up and down.
