With due regard's I would like to bring into your notice that Railway might have become a profitable P.S.U.But still it lakes the Proper Service Strategy,Customer care,food preparation,hygiene.proper follow-up & so on the list is endless.I am an Indian citizen and as you know that railway is still the base of our travel.I am a frequent traveler whenever I come to India.but except on paper the railway have failed everywhere.My this year experience with railway was basically nightmare which I will remember for long.I will also try to inform the Indian citizen about how the railway operates and what is the real situation.I am not sure whether you all are familiar or not but as an Indian citizen I would like to draw your attention in the activities of railway. to start my story.
1.Before coming to India I booked the ticket through IRCTC.I almost spent 21000 INR. at the end of my journey I ended up spending another 20,000 INR.Just because of the ignorance of IRCTC.They do announce about payment and e-ticket delivery but they put the railway running time which is not there in existence for months.but they are not bother to convey this message.
Proof- I booked online ticket for 12101/jananeswari delx on 6th of February,travelling date on 8th of February.e-ticket shows scheduled dept time at 21.20.but after going to kalyan railway station we came to know that train will depart on 9th at 4.45 a.m.I have taken a picture as well of a notice which shows the notice date as on 28th Jan.that this train will leave in the morning.IRCTC is not bothered to inform the passenger. My question is are they not able to inform the passenger through mail who booked. online or all the railway should have this notice.Just this one mistake lead me to cancel my other ticket and buy more tickets.
2. Make complain and forget you will not get anything.
Proof-While travelling from kalyan to Howrah date 9th Jan 2011.I made complain I have complain copy no- KGP 097568. In Complain I have mentioned my e-mail id as well but so far I have not heard anything from railway .PNR NO-********69.
another complain no- KGP 052344.My address is mentioned in the complain page but so far no correspondence .I am not sure whether they are able to read English or not.
another complain no- 609869. Here I would strongly like to mention the name of Mr. Choudhary after complaining next day only I got a call from him He inquired about the incident and promise me to take the appropriate action.Bravo for Mr. Choudhary.but when I complain with the on-duty officer and asked him about I want to get a copy of staff present on duty under right to information act .so far I have not received it.
3.TDR filing still in process-?
Proof-ekt 2011022402181336 (transaction id-, 0305540890,PNR-********69) TDR filing date 24/02/11 & ekt 2011021202126430(trasnsaction id-02********,PNR-********17)filing date 12/02/11. remarks still in process? ref no 1830003.
With above mentioned my interaction with railway I was really terrified I still have lot to say.I would like to ask all the responsible and executive of the great Indian railway what you can be done for my suffering.
