Pepsi Foods - No Mfg Date and Batch# on 7UP 2LT PET bottles

Sir/Madem,

Today (18/04/2010), I visited to FoodWorld SuperMarkets LTD (TIN:28450156026 - ST PJT/06/1/4553 CST : PJT/06/1/3225 FGL c2/109/DS0/97-98/HYD) located at kharkhana (Secunderaad) the one opposit to LKS diagonistics Lab, for buying 7UP 2LT Pet bottle. I noticed most (80%) of the bottles does not contain Manufacturing Date and Batch Number on it. I informed the about this to the sales persons in FoodWorld Supremarket. Got an irresponsible reply saying this is the latest which will not have mfg date and batch number. After lot of struggle making them to understand they got me a bottle from the store with mfg date and batch number. I rellay annoyed how, the famous retail outlet can sell a product without mfg Date and Batch number.

My concerns here:

01. How the Retail outlets can sell soft drinks / Beverages without mfg date and batch number ?.

02. Which government department is responsible for validating the product expiry and quality ?. How to bring this complaint to their notice ?

Consumers should be very much aware and carefull when buying these products and every consumer should check for the mfg dates and expiry of the product.

This informathio is not a fake or duplicate or to abuse any retail outlet or a product.
