After a long awaiting we got a direct train which connects Dehradun to Kerala. But it was so hard to accept that there is no stoppage for this train at Thrissur. Many people works at various distrcts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhandstates like Dehradun, Roorkee, Haridwar, Srinagar, Joshimath, Badrinad, Kedarnad, Gangothry, Yamunothry, etc. and this is the only train which connects Kerala to Deharadun(Uttarakhand.). That too it runs only once in a week. As this train meant mainly for keralites, the train has to have the minimum stoppages at Kerala's major railway stations. As Thrissur is the cultural capital of the Kerala, it plays a crucial role for the toursim dept as well. Many people visits thrissur during various seasons and especially during thrissur pooram days(April May months.). For this train after Ernakulam the stoppage is only at shoranur. Which is 105 km away from ernakulam. But for the rest of the stations the distance of stoppage is varying from 35 km - 89km. So If there will be a new stoppage for the same train at thrissur it will be so helpful for the all thrissur residing people. Even there was the same problem for the New Dlhi- Trivandrum Rajadhani express. But this problem had been sorted out last year. But KCVL- DDN train still has no stoppage at Thrissur. Please consider Thrissur as a city of Kerala and please do not forget that it is the cultural capital of our Keralam.
Hope this mail will reach in good hands and the action will be taken.
Thank you
