As a residents of RPC Layout, Vijayanagar, Bangalore, we are facing lot of loud sound problems through out the day from so many
Masjids / Mosques located near by Goripalya, Padarayanapura & other side of Railway track. From Last few years there is a
astonishing increase in the number of Mosques in these areas & many are facing RPC Layout. With high power speakers mounted on
high rise minars, they are shouting in high volume for every 2 hours from morning 5 am to night 10 pm. Some times even in late
nights up to 1 am. Police are having dump ears & knowingly not taking any action on this public nuisance & non sense. Many
people starting from school going students, kids, babies, elderly people, patients & every one is losing good sleep & peace &
getting unnecessary stress, irritation & losing concentration. Every one has got every right for peaceful stay at any area in
our India. Even sound decibel levels are fixed by Supreme Court at different hours of the day & no body is special to treated
beyond these statutory levels. It is the duty of the police to maintain this levels & stop noise disturbances & sound pollution.
So I request the concerned police personnel to take immediate actions to stop these menace. Otherwise people has to approach
courts & agitate vigorously. Nobody is above laws & needs special status.
My basic questions are:
Who gave them permission to set up huge & tall minors at residential places?
Who gave them permission to mount high power loud speakers at the end these minors? Is it permitted under law?
Who gave them permission to shout in the wee hours & all through the day using these speakers?
it seems every thing is taken granted & nobody cares for other's inconvenience. Their erratic religious display is more than the
basic rights of other's.
Are we living in the era of Aurangzeb & imposing Islam on others openly ?
Police should admit openly if they can't act on this because of some one or some thing is holding their hands.
