I bought Mahindra Renault Logan DLS from Bhasin Motors, New Delhi around 2 years back and since then I am feeling problem of its hard clutch, which now caused a constant knee pain in my left leg.
I serviced my car time to time shown clutch to service center engineers but nothing happened, still its the same. Actually its a manufacturing fault which we customers are facing.
Even service center engineers accept that its clutch system is so hard and it cant be fixed because no solution is being developed from Mahindra Renault. I just wanted to bring in kind notice of all Mahindra Renault management that we have been cheated in India by showing Renault\'s impression in other countries and sold cars to us which was much inferior than what they sell in other countries.
The whole car is a pain except its space inside and wide body. The interiors are cheap, doors are faulty make strange noise and boot and dashboard ratlles a lot and a low pickup, despite of its 1500 CC Diesel engine.
I cant sell this car as the resale value of a 7 lacs car has dropped to only 4 lacs in just 1.5 years.
Renault is a big company and the impression cheated us. I am sure if this happened in any other country, they would have recalled their product and got that fixed like Toyota and Honda does. But unfortunately its India and on JV with Mahindra which it self launching its new varients to kill this so called sedan market.
i also support complaints of all of you.from door noises to ac problems to clutch getting hard,pain in the knee to mahindra dealers not giving any quality service including koncept,shiva mahindra everything has been a big disappointment except logan's engine.
Renault has sold its stake in Logan to Mahindra & Mahindra, so now Logan is 100% owned by M&M from 1 Jan 2011 onwards.
But still not sure about the quality of service M&M provide for Logan.
So again they showed their intentions when I was there for fixing damages done by rats. First they refused to share info on other engine oils and then they refused to counter sale oil filter, saying that we dont counter sale products and you have to come to us for every possible fix.
Now when I said Ok dont counter sale but change the oil filter in my car right now then these buggers said no we will not change and if we change we will charge you 1000 as labour cost (general service cost). What a statements man. No spare parts are available in market and they are just monopolising on owners by forcing them to come service center and pay hefty labour charges.
Now Is something similar happening in your areas as well or it just Sterling Motors, Gurgaon going that way?

I have covered close to 25000Kms in the 1.5DLX. The vehicle in general is good value for money. The diesel engine is wonderful. You have to be in the appropriate gear to appreciate its power. I have taken it to steep climbs and descents and it does it in style with the vehicle fully occupied and additional luggage. It gives me between 17-20kmpl with a/c on in city. Clutch is a bit hard nothing to cause pain to ones leg. Take it to the service station once in a while and they'll make it 'smooth' in 15-20 minutes, no charges for that. No rattling interiors. The fit and finish of the interiors is decent. In fact, the interiors were completly taken apart because rats had entered and they put it back perfectly, no vibrations at all. The body is bulit like a 'tank', real heavy and gives a feeling of security once inside. I have touched 160km/hr with just half or a little more of the throttle depressed with 4 people inside.
I did have issues with the service center but they have more or less been taken care of. They have improved a lot.

I've had a logan for nearly one year. And I don't have a clutch problem. Even after being in traffic jams in chennai.
Martin you are not from India and do not own a Mahindra Logan, infact never seen Indian Logan if I am correct, then how can you post comments defending Mahindra Logan and cause of my knee pain. I invite you in India to have test ride and then come to conclusions. We are the people who are facing this problem in daily life and paid the hefty price for that. Stop supporting Renault blindly.
I do not support this claim It is from someone who AFTER 2 years of ownership developes Pain in his (or her) knees .I think the complainent should look elsewhere for the pain reasons
wat i thnk z problem is with mahindra dealerships is bigger than that from the car.
proper management is lacking in all mahindra dealerships.they dont give quality service.
