ICICI Bank Limited - Reversal of charges for ICICI Credit Card lost and Misused

I need assistance for an ICICI credit card 51********524002, which was lost in 2006 and misused for an amount of Rs. 26,000. I reported to the bank and lodged an FIR same day for the loss of card. The survelliance team got back to me about 3 weeks later and updated me the footage of a woman misusing my credit card at a Jewellry store.

The bank has been troubling me to pay the amount of 53,000 (includes interest), which I cannot pay, as Ive not made the transaction, neither have I signed the transaction slip which should coincide with the signature on the back of my card (it must not have been verified by the store).

The bank did not give me in writing of their investigations, hence I do not have a proof. Additionally, they froze my ICICI savings bank account and withdrew balance amount of 1,800 without any intimation or approval from me.

I was updated by the recovery team of a section 38 too on me for Rs. 5000 cheque bounce, which I have never issued to credit card account.
