I traveled by the Mangalore Puducherry express 16044 on 03.10.2011. I travelled with from Tellicherry to Puducherry.
I am sorry to inform that the compartment No.S-6 which i travelled was full of rats and cockroaches. there were about five to six rats which were running fearlessly on the berths and on the floor. Cockroaches were running all over the compartment. The disinfectant chart showed that the coach was disinfected on 29.09.2011.
The TTE was informed about the incident but he discouraged me by saying that nothing can be done. He blamed the passengers for throwing the eatables everywhere.
Hope the railways will do the needful to make the rail journey trouble free.
Complainant's Goal: To get the railway compartments cleaned.
