I was trying to make transaction online on 19th and 20th april 2012, the transaction didnt go through. I tried the same on 21st april and got a sms from HDFC stating that for security reasons transaction has been declined, for further assistance please call customer care immediately. I normally dont call customer care as myself being a Customer care Executive working for Citibank for 1.8 years. I called the customer care at 9.40 pm, the person who answered my call without understanding my query started telling the usual things. I told him that I dont their usual answers, I'll wait please check and tell me the problem. he put me on hold for some time and then disconnected the call. I was very much frustrated and so I called again. This time I spoke to the person named "mohan". I told him what happened in the pevious call. Mohan told sometimes when calls are in queue the line itself will disconnect when it is being put on hold. Then I told him dont give these stupid answers I work for citibank for 2 years as CCE. then he apologised that the call should not have disconnected.but as I am very much frustrated I asked Mohan to take a complaint on the previous guy. he told he ha raised a coplaint and gave me a complaint no "12112175763" and a person named " Eashwaramoorthy" will be calling me in one hour. I then hung up the call. I very well knew about the priority call backs and I hour call backs. Its just for namesake unless if it is really a VIP customer or an irated customer. I waited till Yesterday(22/04/2012) night but I didnt get any call or even a service message either. This type of attitude in helping their customers, I swear you people will come to understand when you loose the customers because of the service you provide. when you say good customer service you need to show that true service to the customer rather than showing it only as a text in "ads" and in Your website or and "holdings" will not even earn a single penny for you.
