Dear Sir / Madam,
Parcel storage after recieving is for 6Hr free. After that per hour it is 10 Rs. Earlier it was 10Rs per day. Hiking the charges means 10Rs for 1day may become 15 or 20 for 1day. It makes some sense 50% or doubled the charges. On that basis your board has taken this decission. By bike was sent from pune to bangalore and reciept sent in courier i recieved it after a week. I have paid Rs.2160/- as fine. I can pay because iam earning. I have seen a embarassing movement : one student has come to collect his cycle its was sent by his father from some village, He came on sunday because it is the free day for students, They charged Rs.850/- as fine. He dont have money to collect, he is studing on gov scollarship. He left the cycle and went. If the charges are lesser that cycle may helped this student alot.
Plaese open up your eyes on this rediculous hike. If your board need money make hike on 5 or 6 different things in small amounts. It wont make that much pain for passenger.
In our india Trains are been called as garibi rath, it means lower class person also
can afford for travelling.
Please make sure once think before making the hike, it is not a tuglak gov.

By brother had parcelled my bike since i'd to leave abruptly for visakhapatnam from kochi , the reciept was send through courier which was recieved four days after the bike was despatched. The penalty charges were exorbitant Rs. 960/- besides that the staff demanded Rs. 100/- for unpacking and shifting which i refused and did it myself. There was no prior warning or the information displayed so that the general public is warned beforehand, its like an ambush. Indian railway is like an evil that you cannot avoid, which ever class you travel in except for a few staff everyone else behave as if we've done a grave mistake by travelling by railway. Railway protection force is a big monster, threatening me once with lathi. I logged on net and found there were lots of complaints against their behaviour. The parcel counter is open only 9-12 am and 2-4 pm and they charge for non-working hours too. This is a cheap trick by railway to increase the revenues.
i just want to add one more thing, its not only the money thing, the people who are working there in railway station are really good if we give bribary to them, without giving correct information they made me to roam to the station for 5 times today & i was running between station & to my house for feching the money, i had a nice experience & it was came truth that all GOVT workers are like begging infront of people who are not fit to work anywhere & surely they will suffer for these one day & they wil come to know abt this....
Even i faced the same problem today & i paid of rs 4060/-, as i have received the courier after 10 days & the courier was sent from Bijapur, it was ridiculous to pay thousands of money together & which was my half of the salary per month, if any concern person is there to look on this & to respond, do that & take some neccesary action & make the poor people to keep travelling & to book the parcel by indian railway & the people keep the same hope of good travel.
I support this complaint.
what the hell they did..they increased rates from 25/day - 250/day..are they in their senses or they have lost it...i was in lack of money..but i did payed Rs/2340 because..i was compelled ..i had to take my m/c...but to this officer who has passed this law..really ..i pray he must get corrupted..& be a real beggar...on roads..& then too die of hunger..there on road only...
I support this complaint. which idiot has approved this rule
doesnt he has an idea of recession in global currency and if he want some money he can start begging directly not in such a cheap manner

This is really disgusting to hear abt the charges ur taking, I am also the victim of this as I had no knowledge abt this late charges, I was shocked by hearing the amount of fine they asked me to take my bike.....
Please do change the tarrif ....
