I have an office connection no being 3332626748 which was taken a month back under voice plan of Rs 399.00 (WPSimple399FV). As per their policy for new customers, I was given a credit limit of Rs 1000.00.

My Dec bill was for Rs 797.00 and the due dt was 27Dec11. However, I received a call from customer care around 10Dec11 saying that my current outstanding (which includes billed + unbilled amount) was about to increase my credit limit and that i should make IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO AVOID DISCONNECTION OF OUTGOING SERVICES.

I argued that my due dt is far away and i am being told to make payment 15 days before expiry of due dt instead of the company increasing my credit limit.

However, I did make the full payment of the billed amount on 22.12.11 and the line was not disconnected.

Now, on 10Jan12, my outgoing services from the above no was barred & i received a message saying that " outgoing services barred, please call customer care"

When i called the customer care, I was told by the CCE - Arun that he was sorry for the inconvenience caused, but as per their company policy my unbilled amount was around Rs 1200.00 which has already exceeded the credit limit (although the bill has not yet been generated) - bill date is 9th of every month and due date - end of the month, and that I have to make the payment to restore services.

When i confronted him saying that this tantamounts to blackmailing customers and holding them at ransom by forcing customers to pay much before the due date, he refused to listen to me and that they should increase my credit limit instead

I then wanted to speak to his TL. The TL - Hossain also said the same thing. When I threatened to pull them to the CONSUMER COURT, the TL said that he would restore the services for 24 hours, but I have to make at least 50% OF THE PAYMENT to continue with the outgoing services. On increasing the credit limit, he said that they would under no circumstances be able to do that now. After 3-4 months only, they will increase the same.

I am using 3 reliance connections for my office and home. At the time of selling connections, no such conditions were told to us or anything given to us in writing which amounts to keeping informations from the customers which is his right, deficiency in customer service and blackmailing customers direct/indirectly and using arms twisting tactics by disconnecting the connection and then forcing the customers to pay much before the due date even though THE CUSTOMER IS NOT A DEFAULTER.

Request you to take it up urgently and provide a suitable compensation and solution for this act on the part of the SERVICE PROVIDER.
